About Umred Karhandla Wildlife Sanctuary

This sanctuary is a known abode of tigers and shot to fame due to its iconic resident Jai, a handsome tiger inhabitant. Situated approximately 60 kilometres from Nagpur, Umred Karhandla Wildlife Sanctuary is home to an array of fauna including leopards, bison, foxes, wolves, and jackals. The bird and reptile populations are also healthy with a range of migratory birds as well as snakes including the majestic python and Indian cobra.
There are three zones within the sanctuary – Karhandla, Pauni, and Gothangaon. Each of these zones is a wildlife and nature lover’s haven, offering numerous sights and sounds that will delight the senses. Transfer To Umred – Ice Breaking Session – Afternoon Safari
Arrive at Nagpur and transfer to the resort by private car. We will reach the resort and check in around noon. This is followed by an ice-breaking session and lunch. After lunch, the group gears up for the first wildlife safari of the trip. We return to the resort after the safari and spend time discussing the sightings. This is followed by dinner and rest for the night.

Morning Safari – Afternoon Safari
Day 2 is an action-packed one with a full-day safari with a packed breakfast and picnic lunch. After that, we return to relax, unwind, and enjoy a delicious dinner before retiring for the night.

Morning Safari – Checkout From Resort – Transfer To Nagpur – Return To Mumbai
The final day of the trip starts with one last safari early in the morning. This is followed by breakfast and luggage checkout. After lunch, group members are transferred to Nagpur by private vehicle. At Nagpur, travellers now head back to Mumbai either by train or flight as per their bookings.
