About Gir National Park

Welcome to the abode of the mighty King of the Jungle! At Gir in Gujarat, the lion roars loud and true as he lays claim to his territory and commands his subjects. Gir National Park is home to the royal Asiatic lion, a marvellous creature to behold. A sighting of this majestic creature will truly leave you awestruck. 

Apart from the resident lions, Gir is also home to a variety of fauna including Sambhar, antelopes, mongoose, blackbuck, crocodile, and the occasional, but elusive leopard. There is a healthy population of avian species too. The dense jungles truly take you out of the city and plunge you into the wild. Keep your eyes trained to spot the Big Cats as they roam wild and free in an exciting experience like never before.

Arrival at Rajkot – Check in at Resort – Sasan Gir Lion Safari
Guests will be picked up from Rajkot Railway Station and transferred to the resort. After freshening up, we will all head for lunch before the first safari of the trip. The safari will be conducted in the afternoon by our expert guide who will assist in spotting and tracking. After the exhilarating safari, we head back to the resort for dinner and retire for the night.

3 Lion Safaris
Day 2 is an action packed one and kicks off with an exciting morning safari. This will be followed by two more safaris in the afternoon and the evening. We will aim to spot Big Cats including lions and leopards as well as birds of prey like vultures. Overall, we will spend over 10 hours on all our safaris. Meals will be served as per resort timings. After dinner, we will engage in a group discussion about the wonderful sightings of the day.  Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Check out from Resort - Transfer to Station
Head on one last safari and capture all the images you might have missed from the previous outings in the jungle. We will return to the resort, pack up and leave. All guests will be given transport back to Rajkot Railway Station. The trip comes to a close with wonderful memories.
