About Umred Karhandla Wildlife Sanctuary

If you long to spot the Big Cat on a safari, Umred Karhandla Wildlife Sanctuary is just where you should head next. This sanctuary is a known abode of tigers and shot to fame due to its iconic resident Jai, a handsome tiger inhabitant. Situated approximately 60 kilometres from Nagpur, Umred Karhandla Wildlife Sanctuary is home to an array of fauna including leopards, bison, foxes, wolves, and jackals. The bird and reptile populations are also healthy with a range of migratory birds as well as snakes including the majestic python and Indian cobra. 

There are three zones within the sanctuary – Karhandla, Pauni, and Gothangaon. Each of these zones is a wildlife and nature lover’s haven, offering numerous sights and sounds that will delight the senses. Get set for a Thrilling, Memorable and Hassle-free Umred Wildlife Sanctuary Tour! Arrival and Meet & Greet at the nearest airport / railway station. Transfer to the Umred Wildlife Sanctuary (1.5 Hrs from Nagpur Airport and 1.5 Hrs from Nagpur railway station). Arrival at the resort and enjoy the welcome drink. Check in to the resort as per resort policy (Standard check-in time: 1.00 pm or 2.00 pm). Freshen up and enjoy a delicious lunch. Morning Safari – Checkout From Resort – Transfer To Nagpur – Return To Mumbai
It is the last day of the trip at Umred Wildlife Sanctuary, so make the most of it. The day starts with a cup of refreshing tea / coffee followed by an engaging activity or leisure time at the resort in the pre-breakfast session. Post breakfast, check out from the room – but don’t forget to capture some memorable photos in the resort premises to cherish these beautiful memories forever. (Standard check-out time is usually 11.00 am or 11.45 am) Post checkout, start your journey back to the airport / railway station in your transfer vehicle.
