About Sanjay Dubri National Park

Sanjay Dubri Tiger Reserve, nestled in the Sidhi district of Madhya Pradesh, along with Dubri Wildlife Sanctuary, forms an expansive 831 km2 wildlife haven. Renowned for its diverse flora and fauna, the reserve boasts a lush green landscape featuring cliffs, water bodies, valleys, hills, and canyons. Sharing its jungle with Guru Ghasidas National Park in Chhattisgarh, the area is a paradise for nature and wildlife enthusiasts.

The sanctuary is a treasure trove of biodiversity, hosting 152 bird species, 32 mammal species, Notable residents include tigers, sloth bears, Chital, Nilgai, leopards, and a variety of other wildlife. The famous white tiger, Mohan, was captured here in 1951, becoming the progenitor of the world’s white tiger population.

To explore this untapped wildlife haven, visitors can embark on safaris, best enjoyed between October 1 and June 30. The safari offers glimpses of the rich biodiversity, with the chance to encounter tigers, bears, and other fascinating creatures. The park also features Parsili, a tranquil town located near the Banas River, offering a picturesque environment.
