About Singalila National Park

Imagine going on a wild trail to escape the crowd, and at every turn, you can spot the pristine snow-capped mountains! A blend of wilderness and scenic beauty is just what is needed to unwind and Singalila National Park in West Bengal offers an enchanting experience of spotting unique flora and fauna. Established in 1986, the park is home to the iconic and elusive Red Panda. It comprises thick bamboo, oak, magnolia, and rhododendron forest located at an elevation of more than 2300 metres above sea level on Singalila Ridge. The national park is unmatched in its beauty as it provides a panoramic view of the eastern Himalayas, including the peaks of Mount Everest and Kangchenjunga. Apart from the Red Panda, you can also find Himalayan Black Bear, Clouded Leopard, Leopard Cat, Serow, Barking Deer, and Pangolin here. Singalila is one of the most popular birding spots as well. More than 300 bird species can be found here in the blooming season.
