The beautiful Red Panda is one of Asia’s most sought-after mammals, and the Red Panda Wildlife Expedition sets out to find it. We believe the Red Panda is far more attractive and approachable than its close relative, the Giant Panda, which is considerably smaller. The other guests and we will be based at a cozy lodge at Singalila Ridge on the boundary between West Bengal and Nepal as we search for the Red Panda in the Eastern Himalayas of India. Here, the knowledgeable trackers will assist the visitors in locating, approaching, and taking pictures of this intriguing and lovely creature as it climbs through the cold trees and high shrubs in search of berries, seeds, and other sustenance.

We will witness many birds during our prolonged stay at Singalila (7 nights). The Eastern Himalayas are the most biologically diverse region of the range. Even during the winter, when viewing Red Pandas is at their best, numerous species can still be seen there.

Highlights like the Fire-tailed Myzornis, which is frequently common here, are among the many species expected to be present during our visit! Additionally, we’ll see the incredible Satyr Tragopan, Blood Pheasant, and many more fascinating species! Even a hide/blind exists at this lodging where many birds and occasionally Red Pandas come to eat!

Getting there: Singalila
Guests arrive at New Jalpaiguri Station or Bagdogra Airport, the driver will be waiting to pick them up. Considering the comfort of our guests, the driver and our seasoned team leader will be prepared to pick them up from the airport when they arrive to avoid any last-minute complications. Visitors will subsequently be escorted to the Singalila National Park's Manebhanjeng checkpoint after a four-hour drive. By mid-afternoon, the visitors will depart the Land Rover and head to Tumling, where they will spend the next six nights. We've planned a lunch break throughout the tour of Tumling as well to keep our guests satisfied. The first night is where the ride's enthralling journey leaves its footprints. The tourists will hone their equipment, which includes batteries that have been fully charged and a camera set that is prepared to take stunning pictures on the next photographic excursions. Developing a game plan is something that should be done the night before the big day. After everything is ready for launch, we go back to sleep with pleasant dreams. Note: We ask visitors on our wildlife trips to book the first flight to Bagdogra before 9 am, as Singalila will be closed to access after 2 pm. If our guests cannot secure a seat on the initial flight, we have also planned for them to spend the night before the main event in Manebhanjang or Siliguri at an additional fee.

Wildlife expeditions involving the red panda and bird observing tours
By the time our visitors are ready to leave for their Red Pand wildlife tour, we will already have our guide and experts in place. Our skilled scouts are already searching for the Wild Red Panda in the wild. Our guests have the option of walking with specialists along the trail to the Red Panda habitat to add excitement to the day. Our tourists have the option to take quick birding tours on the route to the path while our trackers are out searching for the Red Panda location. We have a choice of eating our lunch back at the lodge or out on the field, depending on the circumstances. Additionally, dinner will be served in the homestay, and a restful overnight stay will follow.
  • Note: It should be noted that the Landrover may only access a motorable road close to the sighting in the Singalila National Park Red Panda Safari.

Professionals in Singalila join to further your exploration
Our trackers will move between Nepal and India because those two countries make up a chunk of the Red Panda's habitat. In search of the elusive, adorable Red Panda, our trackers will comb the Singalila forest and the natural areas of Nepal. In order to make it simpler for our visitors to choose what to do during the second half of their wildlife photography vacation, our trackers also look for other types of animals. Don't forget that this trip is one of the greatest in India for bird photography, and our crew will assist you in obtaining photos of endangered Himalayan birds. Our Red Panda Expedition safari India staff will select the optimum habitat for bird photography, allowing one to indulge their enthusiasm for birdlife photography. We cover more than simply red pandas on our wildlife photography tour.

Continue the Expedition and strive for greater heights.
Considering the possibility that we might miss Red Panda Spotting on other days, we have set aside this day, especially so that we can try to find a Red Panda in the deep forest of Tinchule or Debate, which is on the Nepalese side. We search for Red Pandas at a high height of 5000 to 12000 feet above sea level in the deep jungle of Singalila National Park. As one of the top safaris in India, this location is known for having one of the most magnificent trek routes that pass through a tea plantation and high mountain slopes. We happen to spend a little time photographing the birdlife on the approach to the hiking trail. More than 400 different bird species, including Satyr Tragopan, Gould's Shortwing, Golden Bush-robin, Fire-tailed Myzornis, Spotted Laughingthrush, Yellow-billed Blue Magpie, Chestnut Headed Tesia, Scaly-breasted wren Babbler, Hoary-throated Barwing, four types of Parrotbills, and many more, make your day spent viewing and taking pictures during this bird watching trips.
