The vast green grasslands, well scattered water bodies, evergreen patches of forests and the mighty river Brahmaputra makes it one of the best habitats for plethora of wildlife including specialities like Indian elephants, Asiatic water buffalos, Hog badger, Fishing cats, Great hornbills, Blyth’s kingfisher, Fish eagles etc. Hence exploration of India’s natural heritage is simply incomplete without exploring Kaziranga.

Group meets at Guwahati – Transfer to Kaziranga National Park

Group meets at Guwahati post lunch at 1.30 pm. After a brief introduction, we will proceed to the first attraction of the tour – Kaziranga National Park which holds 35 species of mammals, including 15 threatened ones as per the IUCN Red List. A 6-hours drive will take you across a scenic countryside enroute to Kaziranga. Arrive at Kazirange late evening, check into the resort, freshen up, and head for dinner. Overnight stay at Kaziranga Tiger Reserve.

Morning Safari – Afternoon Safari

Early morning safari at Kaziranga (standard timing between 7 am to 11 am). Safari followed by lunch and rest at the resort. Next is an afternoon safari from 2 pm to 5.30 pm followed by an evening of discussion of sightings over tea/coffee. Enjoy a wholesome meal at dinner and rest to get set for another day of fun.

In Search of Apes of India

Early morning (around 4 am) proceed to our 2nd wildlife hot-spot of this tour – the Hoollongapar Gibbon Sanctuary near Jorhat. The travel time is about 3 hours and packed breakfast will be served en route. Experience the morning session walking trail in Gibbon Sanctuary to observe and photography rare primates and birds of North East India. Around 11 am start return journey to Kaziranga. Grab a quick bite for lunch en route and proceed to afternoon safari at Kaziranga. Evening at leisure. Dinner & overnight stay at Kaziranga.

Morning Safari at Kaziranga. Post breakfast check out and transfer to Guwahati. En route Lunch. Reach Guwahati town around 8 pm.
