The wildlife in Ladakh, Leh is extremely rare and cannot be found elsewhere in India. The climatic conditions are just apt for a few species, like the snow leopard. The guests can trek to Hemis National Park from Leh, on the 11 nights expedition. The ideal time is between October to March. On this tour, the guests will get to explore the wilderness apart from the monasteries. You will also be able to spot the other animals like the Tibetan wolf, Asiatic ibex skin, red fox, and the Pallas Cat.

Arrive in New Delhi
Upon arrival in New Delhi, we will transfer the guests to their hotel. The entire day is at leisure.

Transfer to Leh and acclimatization.
The guests check in to the hotel at Leh, after breakfast. The guests can roam around and spend time acclimatizing. Most guests sip coffee and tea, and also read books. In the evening, the guests get a briefing on the forthcoming tour. Later the dinner is served and guests retire for the night.

Visit the Neighbouring areas and Monasteries
In the morning the guests will set out on a sightseeing tour toward Thiksey Gompa to attend the prayers. The monastery features the gorgeous image of Buddha’s future, Maitreya. Guests have their packed breakfast and then check out Stakna Gompa. The guests return to the hotel in the afternoon for lunch. We will again lead the guests to visit the Shanti Stupa, from where they will be able to enjoy panoramic views of the place, including Leh, the Leh Palace, and Namgyal Tsemo. The guests return to the hotel and retire for the night.

Leh to LungMar Remote Camp
The guests will have their breakfast and check out of the hotel to transfer to Hemis National Park. Search for the snow leopard throughout the day and then return to the camp at night.

Hemis National Park - Day 1
The guests will be staying a lodge in the park or just outside the gate. Experts will help the guests to look for the Argali, Bharal, and Shapu. The guests can travel inside the park by a 4x4 vehicle or on short hikes. Snow leopards will be waiting for the guests there. Snow leopards are most active at dawn and dusk, so that is when the guests will venture out for sightseeing. Spotters and trackers will accompany the guests on tis expedition. The guests also get to visit the locals and understand their culture and livelihood.

The guests are transferred to Delhi. Say good bye to the mountains and leopards. Board an afternoon flight.
