A part of Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary, Chopta is a haven for birdwatching enthusiasts. This hidden gem in the Himalayan belt is home to more than 251 species of birds, including Golden Eagle, Himalayan Griffon, Little Forktail, Spotted Dove, Black Kite, Hill Partridge, Eurasian Jay, Mountain Hawk Eagle, Scarlett Finch, Snow Pigeon, Common Rosefinch, and many more. Arrive at Dehradun – Transfer to Chopta – Check-in – Night Photography Session

Upon arrival at Dehradun Airport, guests will be transferred to Chopta through the scenic landscapes of Uttarakhand. On arrival, check in to the resort and relax after the journey. After dinner, we head out for a night photography session around the resort premises in search of nocturnal wildlife such as Himalayan Palm Civet and Indian Crested Porcupine. Overnight stay at Chopta. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Whole Day Bird Photography Session at Chopta

An early morning start takes us into the forests and meadows surrounding Chopta. The region offers excellent opportunities to photograph Himalayan bird species including Himalayan Monal, Koklass Pheasant, Rufous Sibia, Green-backed Tit, Black-headed Jay, flycatchers, woodpeckers and more. We will spend the day exploring different birding habitats with morning and evening photography sessions. Overnight stay at Chopta. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Morning Birding Session – Drive to Mandal

After an early morning bird photography session in Chopta, we return for breakfast and check out. We then drive to Mandal, one of Uttarakhand's most productive birding destinations. Upon arrival, check in to the lodge and enjoy lunch before heading out for an evening bird photography session in the surrounding forests. Overnight stay at Mandal. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Full Day Bird Photography at Mandal

Day 4 is dedicated entirely to bird photography in the rich oak and rhododendron forests of Mandal. The area is home to a wide variety of Himalayan birds including Verditer Flycatcher, Himalayan Bluetail, Rosefinches, Laughingthrushes, Nuthatches, Treecreepers, Warblers and several species of flycatchers. We will spend the day exploring different birding trails and productive forest patches. Overnight stay at Mandal. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Whole Day Bird Photography Session at Mandal

We continue our bird photography adventure with a full day in the forests around Mandal. The day offers excellent opportunities to photograph Himalayan specialties, capture behavioural shots, and search for species that may have been missed earlier in the tour. Overnight stay at Mandal. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Check Out – Return Journey to Dehradun

After breakfast, guests may pack up and check out from the lodge. We begin our return journey to Dehradun Airport, enjoying the scenic Himalayan landscapes along the way. Participants will be dropped at the airport for their return flights. Meals: Breakfast The trip concludes with wonderful memories and an incredible collection of Himalayan bird photographs.
