Flora of Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary
The forest in Bharatpur is alive in a wonderful assortment of trees, bushes, grass and plants. Albeit small, the flora is not wanting by any means and is enough to stun the visitors by its sheer beauty. The major plantation is tropical dry deciduous trees intermixed with dry meadows in zones where the backwoods have been adulterated. The grassland is inundated with misleadingly overseen swamps along with a majority of trees and bushes being medium sized.
The northeast region of the forest is dominated by jamun and babul trees. The remaining open woodland is mostly part babul with a little dash of ber and kandi. Meanwhile, ber and kair are usually seen accompanying each other in the scrublands.
Piloo, is a surprising species found in Ghana, mostly just woody plants in saline soil. The oceanic soil and vegetation found in Bharatpur are both very nutrient rich supply of sustenance for the waterfowls in the region.
