The much-awaited Lesser Florican Photography Expedition Is here again. This beautiful and uncommon species has fascinated photographers and birdwatchers alike for a long time. Now, for tourists who are interested in clicking the wonderful bird in Shokhaliya Grasslands, Ajmer can do so in style. Also known as the ‘Tanmor’ or ‘Khar Mor’, this bird has huge popularity not only in India but abroad as well. The endangered bird species can be sighted from July to September, when the male bird engages in a display of myriad emotions and acts, to lure the females. The male bird performs aerial acts, in which it jumps to a height of 1.5-2 m, at least 300 -400 times. However, the jumps happen all of a sudden and quite fast. So, it is quite difficult to get a great shot. But now, one can see this spectacular feat in the Moong Farms of Shokhaliya.
